Gifts from the Universe
I pick up coins off the ground.
Dirty, wet, left behind, rusty, gross, almost worthless - coins.
Almost. Worthless.
To me they represent a gift. The universe has made this free money available to me. All I have to do is expend the most minimal effort to pick them up.
I decided that picking up coins is a sign that the universe has something good to offer, something free, something easy. The universe wants me to succeed, just as it wants you to succeed. And just like picking up coins, all you have to do is look, be available, and take the opportunity.
Coins aren't everywhere, they don't grow on trees. But they are more available than you'd think. I've bought myself countless coffees using the spare change I've accumulated.
Consciously deciding to view spare change as a sign of the flow of positive energy in the universe trains your brain to look for good things. It trains you to look for opportunity. It's far from worthless -- it's darn near everything.
