Visualize Your Success

Actions matter. But the actions that count most can't be seen.

Because they happen in your own head.

I am a guitar player. When I was a teen, I bought a book of sheet music on vacation (since you asked: The Police greatest hits. Andy Summers, Sting - can't be beat). Since I didn't have my guitar with me, I read the book over and over, mentally performing the fingerings to play each song. I could feel the movements in my hand.

When I returned home a week later, I was able to play the songs as if I had been practicing them for days.

The mental practice mattered.

I want you to take a few moments and visualize where you're headed:

👁 Visualize yourself in the next role

👁 Killing the job interview

👁 Sitting in the next big chair

👁 Networking like a pro

👁 Standing on stage with thousands of eyes on you

👁 Telling them what you need to say

👁 Asking for the promotion or raise with conviction

See yourself doing the action. What will you say? How will you look?

Do it in your mind -- the more times the better. You've got this.
